ASCEND 2024 in Las Vegas Review

June 26, 2024

More than 1,700 participants from the Oracle user community joined the fourth annual Ascend conference, June 17-20, 2024 in Las Vegas, NV.

Ascend is the Oracle user community event that unites technical users, IT professionals and experts for open discussion and practical education to elevate insights and improve decision-making, project planning and business operations. This year, the event has once again been a great success.

Presented by the Oracle Applications & Technology Users Group (OATUG) and Oracle HCM Users Group (OHUG), Ascend 2024 delivered reliable insights, time- and money-saving strategies, and valuable opportunities to connect with the global user community.

PROMATIS was on site with two top speakers and four presentations:

  • June, 17 | 02:30 PM - 03:30 PM PDT:
Oracle Cloud Licensing Common Missteps – The Floor is Lava! (Speaker: Zachary Barger)
  • June, 17 | 03:45 PM - 04:45 PM PDT:
MythBusters: Is Role-Based Provisioning for Oracle Cloud “Fact” or “Fiction”? (Speaker: Zachary Barger)
  • June, 18 | 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM PDT:
Confessions: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly - when an Oracle Customer, SI, and Risk Advisory Partner walk into the OK Corral (Panel) (Speaker: Zachary Barger)
  • June, 18 | 04:30 PM - 05:30 PM PDT:
Automating Deployment of E-Business Suite Customizations using a DevOps Workflow and Git(Lab) (Speaker: Johannes Michler)

The four presentations precisely addressed the questions of the target groups and dealt with topics that presented technological innovation with a high degree of practical relevance. This was clearly reflected in the attendance: All four presentations had more than 30 attendees! In general the attendance has been communicated to be higher than any other year. Our speakers were highly satisfied and are already looking forward to further events with OATUG, hopefully at Ascend 2025.
