Europe’s leading competition for the “ERP System of the Year 2024” is organized by the University of Potsdam’s CER in cooperation with the Berlin-based GITO Publishing House and the trade journal ERP Management. The Center for Enterprise Research is one of the most innovative and modern ERP laboratories in Europe, where researchers work every day to improve the world of ERP systems for practical use. The high-grade jury is made up of neutral digital and industry experts from consulting, journalism and science, which lends the award a high level of credibility when addressing customers. In addition to the categories of Manufacturing, Construction, Consulting, Retail, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud, Low-Code and Sustainability, pioneering projects for the challenges of tomorrow were sought in particular in the Future Viability category.
After all, if you look at the events and developments of recent years, a company's ability to cope quickly with changing conditions seems to be essential for survival these days. A crucial prerequisite for this is the ability to proactively and efficiently implement the necessary changes in one's own organization in order to remain competitive in the long term. In most cases, such redesigns also entail adjustments or extensions to the business processes that are currently implemented in the ERP system. In order to develop such future viability as a company, it must be possible to both identify necessary changes as early as possible, and implement them quickly and at short notice in the organization, business processes and IT implementation.
This is exactly what the overall solution awarded here offers, consisting of the Oracle NetSuite business software, a Digital Twin of an Organization (DTO) with Horus, which provides a digital image of the entire company, and the integrated use of generative AI for the management of business processes.
